ARE YOU LOOKING TO JOIN AN “U'12A” SQUAD?
Avondale Heights Soccer Club is seeking players for the 12A North/West division for 2010. Team to be coached by John Colangeli. John Colangeli undertook 2 Professional Coaching Courses from Coverciano, Florence, Italy in 1984 & 1990.   He was the F.F.V. State Coach for 8 Years, coached the U12 State Development Squads & continued with the U13, U14 & U15 State teams, achieving three equal firsts with NSW and one National Championship Title. In 1989, John took the U13 State Team to Japan for a mini World Cup tournament in which 16 teams from all over the world participated.  Brazil, Italy, Belgium, USA, China and Korea were just six of the competing countries.  Under John’s command, the Melbourne team won the bronze medal.  Amongst many young athletes, Mark Viduca was part of this squad. In his vast experience of 25 years, John Colangeli has produced players from the State Squad, who have gained positions with the Joeys.  With a keen eye for young talent, players such as Alex Kiratzoglue, Vasko Trapcevski, Steve Wardle, Frank Bott, Carmelo Bazzano, & Haron Healey were all part of the Joeys team that played in Italy for the World Youth Championship 1991. 

At both State and club levels, John has also coached the likes of Mark Viduca, Vince Grella, Simon Colosimo, Roddy Vargas, and Daniel Alsop. He was the Assistant & Youth Coach of the Brunswick Zebras in the Australia National League for three years; has coached Fawkner & Springvale City in the Premier League,  Werribee City and Essendon Royals in the State League.
